The Art of Photographing Nature

Ever wanted to capture the wildlife in your backyard? This class covers this and more. A good wildlife photograph includes an awareness of the subject’s surroundings. Students learn techniques to create story-telling images of backyard visitors, wildlife seen during travel/adventures, and their surroundings. Lessons include exposure, composition, tracking, and planning. There will be class discussion, assignments, and time for questions. Students should bring their cameras/equipment to class. All levels are welcome.

The Art of Photographing Birds

June 13 & 20, 2020
          9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Are you surrounded by beautiful amazing birds, and would like to learn how to get great photos of them? We’ll cover exposure and panning techniques, how to craft a pleasing photograph that effectively highlights the bird, in-the-field ethics, how to “find” the shot, and great birding locations. In-classroom and hands-on learning. All levels.

These are 2 hour lessons, and geared to the needs of the student. Some sample lessons could be learning camera operation, exposure, composition, learning flash, special subjects like photographing birds or children. The topics are unlimited! Meeting time, place, and subject matter will be decided upon payment. Students are welcome to send an email with questions prior to signing up.

These are 2 hour lessons, and geared to the needs of 2 to 3 students. Some sample lessons could be learning camera operation, exposure, composition, learning flash, special subjects like photographing birds or children. The topics are unlimited! Private Tours

These are 3 to 4 hour tours, and geared towards specific subjects. Sample tours include bird , landscape, tulip fields (flowers), fall colors, or architecture. Meeting time, and place will be decided upon payment. Students are welcome to send an email with questions prior to signing up. Cost is per person up to a maximum of 6.
